About Chi Lee
Chi’s work is inspired by a lifetime of cross-cultural experience and exposure to art, architecture and natural wonder. She has lived in Taiwan and New York and is now settled in Vancouver. Her art has the underlying theme of East meets West, combining Eastern traditional design sensibilities with Western Modernisms.
Inspired by form, texture, colour and the relationships of line and space, Chi often works with casts of wax or metal originals, which are then cut, shaped and transformed to create something unique. Her jewellery is handcrafted from sterling silver and various karats of gold, paired with adornments of pearls, semi-precious stones, precious stones and diamonds.
The natural beauty of North Vancouver, the mountains and the open sea has deeply influenced Chi’s design sensibility and style. Her artistic intention is to create jewelry that possesses an enduring sense of simple elegance, while revealing subtle hints of spontaneity and drama.
