The Luxe by Anna Godsbersen takes place in Manhattan in 1899. It depicts the life of the rich and privileged socialites. Two sisters, Elizabeth and Diana Holland, struggle with choices they must make between love and family.
Emily: I really enjoyed reading this book that reminds me of an old fashioned Gossip Girl. The story does not take place in chronological order and the sequences of events always had me guessing about what was going to happen next.
